Pastor Lavaud Cheristin is the principal founder of Haiti Christian Ministry Center (HCMC) and serves as the senior minister for the Christian Center Church in Hinche, Haiti. God has used him powerfully to establish one main church in town and four additional churches in the countryside, creating a network of faith communities throughout the region.

Beyond church ministry, Pastor Cheristin’s vision for community development led him to found two schools – one elementary and one high school – and establish the first technical school in Hinche, Haiti. He also built the first printing shop in town, demonstrating his commitment to education and community advancement. Married to his beloved wife Myrielle Joseph in 1993, they are blessed with four beautiful daughters.

As a regional coordinator of 13 cities’ pastor leagues, Pastor Cheristin’s influence extends far beyond his local community. His deep understanding of Haitian culture and spirituality, combined with over 25 years of ministry experience, has led him to write about the complex relationship between traditional beliefs and Christianity, offering believers guidance on navigating faith in a culturally rich environment.
